Samosa is a most popular dish in India. It’s preparing in different ways in all over India. We can make it with vegetable, chicken, mutton, and beef fillings. Here I prepared spicy and tasty beef samosa.
Ingredients
For pastry
All purpose flour : 1 cup
Vegetable oil : 1 tbsp
Salt
For filling
Finely choppeBeef : 250g
Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
Pepper powder : 2 tsp
Garam masala : ½ tsp
Onion (medium size) : 3
Garlic (finely chopped) : 1tsp
Ginger (finely chopped) : 1tsp
Curry leaves and coriander leaves : 1tbsp
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder : 1 1/2 tsp
Salt
Oil for deep fry
Preparation
Pastry
-
In a bowl mix all purpose flour,1tbsp vegetable oil, salt and enough water to make a soft dough , knead the dough until it smooth
-
Keep it aside and cover with wet cloth for 15-20 minute
-
Divide it into ten equal part and each piece roll into a ball
-
With the help of rolling pin make very thin tortillas
-
Cook these in a pan for few seconds (take out before turning brown) (its only for make this tortillas dry)
Filling
-
In a pan mix beef, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp garam masala, salt and enough water
-
cook well and make sure water died up
-
Place a pan in low fire and add 1tbsp of oil
-
Add finely chopped onion into this and sauté for 3 minute
-
Add green chilli, garlic, ginger one by one and sauté
-
Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ¼ tsp garam masala, salt mix well and keep for few more minutes
-
Finally add curry leaves and coriander leaves
-
Turn off the fire and let it to cool
Samosa
-
In a bowl mix 1tbsp of all purpose flour and enough water to make thick batter (paste)and keep aside
-
Cut the tortilla (pastry) into 2 half
-
Pick one and fold it into cone shape. Seal sides of the cone with batter
-
Fill the cone with 2 tbsp of filling. Close the top into triangle shape and seal sides with paste
-
Do same as all piece of pastry
-
Heat oil in medium high flame and fry samosas until it turns light golden brown colour
-
Drain out excess oil and serve hot
