Meat samosa

Samosa is a most popular dish in India. It’s preparing in different ways in all over India. We can make it with vegetable, chicken, mutton, and beef fillings. Here I prepared spicy and tasty beef samosa.

 

Ingredients

For pastry

All purpose flour                                                          : 1 cup

Vegetable oil                                                                 : 1 tbsp

Salt

For filling

Finely choppeBeef                                                        : 250g

Turmeric powder                                                         : ½ tsp

Pepper powder                                                             : 2 tsp

Garam masala                                                               : ½ tsp

Onion (medium size)                                                     : 3

Garlic (finely chopped)                                                 : 1tsp

Ginger (finely chopped)                                                : 1tsp

Curry leaves and coriander leaves                              : 1tbsp

Turmeric powder                                                         : 1/4 tsp

Pepper powder                                                             : 1 1/2 tsp

Salt

Oil for deep fry

 

Preparation

 

Pastry

 

  1. In a bowl mix all purpose flour,1tbsp vegetable oil, salt and enough water to make a soft dough , knead the dough until it smooth

  2. Keep it aside and cover with wet cloth for 15-20 minute

  3. Divide it into ten equal part and each piece roll into a ball

  4. With the help of rolling pin make very thin tortillas

  5. Cook these in a pan for few seconds (take out before turning brown) (its only for make this tortillas dry)

 

Filling

 

  1. In a pan mix beef, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp garam masala, salt and enough water

  2. cook well and make sure water died up

  3. Place a pan in low fire and add 1tbsp of oil

  4. Add finely chopped onion into this and sauté for 3 minute

  5. Add green chilli, garlic, ginger one by one and sauté

  6. Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ¼ tsp garam masala, salt mix well and keep for few more minutes

  7. Finally add curry leaves and coriander leaves

  8. Turn off the fire and let it to cool

 

Samosa

 

  1. In a bowl mix 1tbsp of all purpose flour and enough water to make thick batter (paste)and keep aside

  2. Cut the tortilla (pastry) into 2 half

  3. Pick one and fold it into cone shape. Seal sides of the cone with batter

  4. Fill the cone with 2 tbsp of filling. Close the top into triangle shape and seal sides with paste

  5. Do same as all piece of pastry

  6.  Heat oil in medium high flame and fry samosas until it turns light golden brown colour

  7. Drain out excess oil and serve hot
