One year before this one was my everyday tea time snack during NITC days. Me and my friends used to go canteen for this. They prepared it very tastily. Geethu, she was my main companion we visited almost all hotels and canteens around NITC to taste different foods. Now I miss those beautiful days..


Ingredients

 

Bread slice                               :   10

Oil                                          :   1 tbsp

Cumin seed                               :   1 tsp

Chopped ginger                         :   1 tsp

Green chilli                              :   2

Curry leaves                             :   1 tbsp

Onion                                       :   2

Boiled potato                            :   2

Turmeric powder                      :   1/4 tsp

Chilli powder                            :   1 tsp

Salt to taste 

Besan flour                              :   1 cup

Chilli powder                           :   Â½ tsp

Oil for fry

 

Preparation

 

  1. In a pan heat 1 tbsp of oil

  2. Add cumin seed into it then add ginger, green chilli and curry leaves, saute well

  3. Add chopped onion and fry till it become transparent

  4. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt into it and saute well

  5. Add boiled mashed potato into it and mix nicely

  6. Turn off fire and let it cool

  7. Cut bread into triangles and keep it aside

  8. Once stuffing cooled spread this potato mixture on one triangular bread and place one plane bread on top of it

  9. Repeat all and keep aside

  10. Make a thick besan flour batter by mixing besan flour, chilli powder, salt and enough water

  11. Heat oil in a pan at medium high flame

  12. Dip each stuffed bread into besan batter and deep fry until it turns golden brown color

  13. Drain and serve hot with sauce
