Ingredients

 

Minced pitted date            : 1cup

 

All purpose flour                :  1 cup

 

Rice powder                        :  1 tbsp

 

Grated coconut                  :1 tbsp

 

Sugar                                    : 3 tsp

 

Egg (optional)                      : 1

 

Cardamom powder            : 1/2 tsp

 

pinch of Salt 

 

Oil for deep frying

 

preparation

 

  1. In a bowl mix minced pitted date, all purpose flour, sugar, grated coconut, egg, cardamom powder and salt

  2. Add enough water to make thick batter

  3. Heat oil at medium high flame and fry dates coated with batter until it turns golden brown colour

  4. Drain excess oil and serve
